When I was growing up my mom used to ask, “if five of your friends jump off a bridge are you going to follow?”
My answer was, is and always will be, HECK NAW!!!
If you’re going to protect your children from bullying, first you have to protect them from themselves…
By helping them to be free from the opinions of others…
Many won’t receive this..
It is by practicing the art of impressing you and others, that your children become subject to clicks and the fear of not being in the right one… as well as the art of manipulation to manage those easily swayed opinions.
Bully’s are powerless against people who don’t care about impressing them or others.
If they are free from the opinions of people, your children won’t be afraid to stand up for themselves; they won’t be too embarrased to tell an adult; and they won’t feel humiliated in public when bullys try to ostracize them.
If you think that adults aren’t playing the very same games as children, think again.
Look around, who are you trying to impress?
Your children are watching.
